SARAH is a writer, broadcaster and media analyst. She has written two reference books, How to Take on the MediaandEffective Presentationand two novels, A Slice of Lime, a comedy set in the Caribbean, and Crocodile Clips,a satire based on the early days of an all-speech commercial radio station. She has a collection of short stories, Melody and two travel books, Zebras on the Runwayand Plenty Mango – Postcards From the Caribbeanwhich is illustrated by her husband, the architect and painter, John Renton.
She founded Electric Airwaves, www.electricairwaves.com, London’s leading media, presentation training and media consulting company. She has trained senior executives from many of Britain’s top FTSE 100 companies and has pioneered international media and issue management training.
She also co-founded one of the first independent radio production companies, Ladbroke Radio, which produced programmes both for the BBC and commercial radio.
Before setting up Electric Airwaves and Ladbroke Radio, Sarah was well-known as a radio and television presenter, on programmes as diverse as GOING PLACESwith Barry Norman and THE NIGHT IS YOUNGwith Tony Palmer on LBC.
She is also a voting member of BAFTA, The British Association of Film and Television Arts (the UK’s equivalent of the Oscars).
Her most recent publication Plenty Mango – Postcards from the Caribbean illustrated by John Renton, was launched at the 2017 Alliouagana Festival of the Word and is available via Amazon in either paperback, Kindle or audio (which she has voiced) editions.
Sarah and John have two grown up sons and four grandchildren and divide their time between the Caribbean island of Montserrat and London.
She has been a cheerful Ambassador for Montserrat for over 25 years!
